AquaSensei Version 2026-06-04

Terms of Use

We make a reef-tank app. Your tank water doesn't care about legalese, and honestly neither do we — but we have to write this so nobody ends up in court over a dead clownfish. Plain English where possible; the lawyer-y bits are at the bottom.

1. What AquaSensei is

AquaSensei is a tool to help you keep track of a saltwater reef tank — chemistry readings, livestock, equipment, supplies, and maintenance tasks. It includes an AI helper called Sensei that produces narrative summaries, livestock fit checks, and dose-calculator commentary based on the data you log.

It is software. It is not a person. It is not a veterinarian. It is not a substitute for hands-on experience or for asking another reefer.

2. Sensei is not a chemist

The AI features are grounded in published reef-keeping math wherever possible, with citations in the code. But AI can still be wrong, and species behaviour varies. You are the one responsible for your tank. Treat Sensei's input the way you'd treat a knowledgeable friend's advice — useful, not authoritative.

3. Your data

Your tank data is yours. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't fingerprint or track you across the web. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

4. What you agree not to do

5. The price

AquaSensei is free during beta. If we ever charge for it, you'll get notice and a chance to export your data first. No surprise auto-renews. No "negative-option" subscription tricks.

6. What we promise (and don't)

We promise to make our best effort. We do not promise:

To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for tank losses, livestock deaths, equipment damage, or any other indirect or consequential damage flowing from your use of the app. This is the standard software disclaimer. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account any time from settings. We delete your data within 30 days — dose history, readings, photos, all of it.

8. Changes to these terms

If we change the terms in a material way, we'll prompt you to re-accept on your next sign-in. If you don't agree, you can export your data and close the account.

9. Contact

Email [email protected] with any question about these terms.
